Dr. Claude Bouchard

Dr. Claude Bouchard
Dr. Bouchard is Full Professor and Director of the Human Genomics Laboratory at Pennington Biomedical Research Center in Baton Rouge (Louisiana, USA).
He has a Degree in Physical Education (Laval University of Quebec, Canada), and a Master'sDegree in Exercise Physiology (University of Oregon, USA). He is Posgraduated in Cardiovascular Physiology (University of Cologne, Germany), and PhD in Population Genetics from the University of Texas (Austin, USA).
One of his primary lines of research has been directed toward the genetics of adaptation to exercise and nutritional challenges, as well as the genetics of obesity and its comorbidities. He has authored more than 1000 scientific papers and has written or edited 35 books.

Dr. Bouchard participate at the VII International Symposium of Strength Training with the presentation entitled "PHYSICAL ACTIVITY AND GENETIC PREDISPOSITION: TWO MAJOR DRIVERS OF THE ONGOING OBESITY EPIDEMIC".
