Dr. Barbara Ainsworth

Barbara Ainsworth

Barbara Ainsworth is Professor in the School of Nutrition and Health Promotion at the College of Health Solutions, Arizona State University.
Dr. Ainsworth is a Fellow in the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), and she was the President between 2011-2012.
She obtained a PhD in Exercise Physiology in 1987 at the University of Minnesota. She has also a Master Degree in Public Health (1989), and a Master in Education (1975).
"She has received awards from many professional associations, including the ACSM's Citation Award (2006), and the McKenzie Award for the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (2004)."

Hes research focuses on the assessment of physical activity, physical activity and public health, and physical activity in women.

Dr. Ainsworth participated at the IX International Symposium of Strength Training with the presentation entitled "ASSESSING THE ENERGY COST OF STRENGTH TRAINING: PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS FOR SPORTS TRAINERS".
